As expected, Lenovo’s smartphone brand ZUK has just revealed its new flagship smartphone, the Z2 Pro. Even though we knew the handset would make it official today, little was known about ZUK Z2 Pro’s hardware.

With today’s announcement, ZUK is likely to make quite a lot of Android fans happy. The Z2 Pro is a beast on paper and you don’t have to pay a fortune to own one.

First of all, ZUK Z2 Pro sports a 5.2-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution. Although it might not be that impressive for those expecting a larger display with Quad HD resolution, the Z2 Pro has other specs that will certainly impress you.

For example, the handset comes equipped with a 64-bit 2.15GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor inside, coupled with an Adreno 530 graphics processing unit and no less than 6GB of RAM. Also, the smartphone packs 128GB of internal memory, but there’s no mention of microSD card slot for memory expansion.

ZUK announced that a cheaper version of Z2 Pro will be available with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage inside, but that’s quite enough for a flagship as well.

When it comes to photography features, ZUK Z2 Pro comes with a 13-megapixel ISOCELL camera on the back that includes a 1.34-micron pixels sensor, f/1.8 aperture, phase-detection autofocus, and 4K video recording.

In the front, there’s a secondary 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. A fingerprint scanner is positioned under the Home button, but the phone also includes a heart rate sensor, UV sensor and an altimeter.

The 3.5mm audio jack has been replaced by a USB Type-C 3.1 port. Other connectivity options include 4G LTE with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS with AGPS, and support for 23 cellular networks.

All these drain energy from a decent 3,100 mAh battery, which features Quick Charge 3.0. It’s also worth mentioning the Z2 Pro runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system right out of the box.

According to ZUK, the Z2 Pro will be available for purchase on April 22 for $420. The cheaper version that packs 4GB RAM and 64GB storage will go on sale on May 10, but there’s no word on price yet.
